Parts may come and go!
Besides using the "Rockin' Behavior" chart in our classroom, which is individual behavior, we are also using Mr. Potato head as a whole group behavior incentive. When the class is caught being good or behaving appropriately as a whole, we allow a student to add a Potato Head body part. Once Mr. Potato Head is completely together, we have a celebration. We finally got him put together a week or so ago and the kids got to have an ice cream party. You might want to ask the kids each evening how Mr. Potato Head is looking. His parts may come but they can also go. We are hoping to have a party soon!

ReplyDeleteI have a computer lab where I see 9 different groups daily. I would love to have a tater head per group so that they can work on their behavior. Yard sale browsing here I go!
ReplyDeleteYettaleelee, since you need so many you might want to try a Cootie game. It comes with 4 Cooties, and there are 11 parts to make a complete Cootie.
DeleteYettaleelee, Found ours at Marshall's for 4.00!! We asked the kids if they had any extra clothes for our Mr. Potato head and they actually brought some in. One little guy brought in a whole tub! We now have spider man tater head, mickey mouse tater head, darth vader tater head and lots of high heels and purses.
